David's Story
David Zidel is an award-winning lecturer, bestselling author, and business coach based in Johannesburg, South Africa. With over 20 years of experience in transforming lives and businesses, David’s journey is a testament to his commitment to making a difference.
After earning his BCom degree from Wits University, David began his career in the family financing business. His passion for learning led him back to Wits Business School, where he obtained an MBA with first-class passes in several subjects. This academic achievement laid the foundation for his multifaceted career.
David’s professional journey includes roles as an account manager in an IT company and a consultant specialising in value creation. These experiences honed his skills in financial modeling and strategic decision-making, which he now imparts to his clients and students.
In 1997, David transitioned to freelancing, where he found his true calling as a lecturer and coach. He has since lectured at prestigious institutions, including Duke Corporate Education, GIBS Business School, and Henley Business School. His courses are tailored to meet the specific needs of companies, helping them achieve remarkable growth and success.
David’s story is also marked by personal milestones, such as running the Comrades Marathon to honor his late mother. This experience inspired his second book, Life on the Run – 18 Steps to Success, which combines lessons from marathon training with practical business advice.
